First two scholarships to be announced in May 2025

Following confirmation of our charitable status, we’re delighted to confirm that within the next four weeks, we’ll be announcing the details of two new scholarships:

  • The first is a scholarship to help fund a trainee towards their Private Pilot’s Licence
  • The second is a scholarship to help fund a trainee towards their Commercial Pilot’s Licence

Details of both scholarships, including the selection criteria and application process, will be shared when the scholarships are confirmed in May.

Please make sure you’ve signed up to our mailing list to be kept informed of progress – and you’ll be the first to know as soon as details are announced.

Charitable status confirmed

We’re delighted to confirm that earlier this month, we had official confirmation that the AOPA NZ Charitable Trust has been granted charitable status.

This has obvious positive benefits to benefactors and donors, and is an important element in encouraging people to invest in the future of General Aviation in New Zealand.

Our charity number is listed on the footer of this website, and you can also now search us up online on the Charities Register here.
